Don't give me a Benjamin

"Every American taxpayer would get a $100 rebate check to offset the pain of higher pump prices for gasoline, under an amendment Senate Republicans hope to bring to a vote Thursday."

I don't want the $100, just lower the price of gas by a $1. Over the course of the year I am paying well over $100 in gas prices. This is just a quick payoff to make people forget about gas prices for a bit or a way for the Republicans to try and buy your votes. Not just that but we will probably be taxed on the rebate the following year. I sure hope it does not pass.

If fuel prices go up any higher I will have to find a 2nd job just to pay for gas.
