Happy Halloween

Cold

If you are in Memphis, TN you have woken up to 39 degrees in the am. Hopefully, it will stay that way instead of going back into the 80's-90's and back down again. Can we actually have a real winter? Maybe we will actually get some snow this year.

where is my bag?

I haven't traveled via our friendly skies in a while, but that doesn't mean I do not hear about what happens to people. Below are a few instances.

My brother travels regularly for work and has had his luggage lost numerous time, sometimes even on the same trip. All the lost or delayed luggage was on Northwest Airlines.

I even picked up 12 people from Krakow for work and 5 out of the 12 arrived without there luggage. The airline was United Airlines.

This has to be very discouraging for a person, especially a person from a foreign country. I am hope that when I arrive at Krakow, I will arrive with all my luggage intact.

You in the Tube

Ever wonder where those wacky videos come from. Go to YouTube and it is basically a web page full of home made videos and spoofs of other videos. Remember the guy singing the NUMA song, well there are bout 20 spoofs on the song. You can even make your own wacky videos and post them for all to see. You can also make your own videos and imbed them in your blog or webpage.

Tulio to the Rescue

On the way home today I saw some people (about 5) in front of the Dollar Store on Hickory Hill. I noticed people looking under the car a grabbing. After looking further I noticed that there were actually trying to pull a dog out from under the car. Trying to see if I could be of some assistance, I made a U-turn and headed on over to the dog in distress. Luckily it happened across the street from the Hickory Hill Vet. From what the people before me were telling me, the dog was actually running around on Hickory Hill and hid under a car that was getting ready to pull out of the Dollar Store. She was a nice lady and stopped to see if she could help. The dog was a mini doberman pincher that either recently had puppies or was soon to be. Using leashes and a old cigarette sign we coaxed the dog , while getting snapped at by the mini pooch to the back of the vehicle. The vets assistant was able to put the special noose around the dog after about 20-30 minutes. The 2 vets assistants mentioned that they would take care of the pooch and try to locate the owner since it has a flea collar. They assumed that it had to be someone in the apartment complexes close to the area it was found.

Going to Krakow (Crakow)

I have just been notified this week that I will be going to Krakow, Poland to train my future replacements. I will of course be posting pictures from Krakow while I am there. I have a free weekend and plan to do as much sight seeing as possible. My parents also informed me that they are friends with the Peruvian Ambassador in Poland, maybe I can get some special tours.

Scratch it

I hate poison ivy, oak, or any other poison. I was doing some yard work and did not even see any poison ivy anywhere, but I have it popping up all over my arms. Calamine lotion does not work and neither does Benadryl.

I wish there would be something that would get rid of poison ivy quicker.

Oh well. I guess I will have to keep scratching and using the above products till it goes away.
